A Forum CD?
I've been too busy to get back to this thread until now. It sounds (no pun intended) like this is something we could do.
Jerry, I don't think that the Gibson negates the use of the Ricks. After all, we can't all be expected to own our own Rick acoustic!
Tony, I will e-mail you off-Forum about details regarding what would be needed as far as a sound files (format, file size/length of song, etc.) - you have a lot more experience in the field than I have, for certain.

Aitch and I are planning to record an original song together when he arrives here in September. If you are still accepting submissions at that time, we will send a song to you. If that is not practical then I will send along one of my other songs.

I think I'm the one Bill is talking about with the old AGR attempt. Completely unrelated things in my life went nuts, and I dropped off the radar for a few years. So I never got to do it, but I saved the CDs I got... let me look for them.
(10 minutes later...)
Okay, found them! Wow! What luck. I have recordings of the following people. If you are listed here, please email me with "AGR CD" in the subject so I don't delete it.
Phil Cusimano (CA, USA)
Rob Varney (MI, USA)
Daniel Lee (Australia)
I also have a printout of an email from Graham Allman-Talbot (UK) but no tape or CD. I would love to add these to a new project with the artists' permission, and close the book on this one, six years later.

I would suggest that work should be submitted on CD format, as the quality is high & it is easier to listen to & deal with. I am quite happy to put this together. I would also suggest that interested parties email me for my address to post the CD's to.
I have to go out for the day & night now, but I have some ideas, so will post later.

'Rickenbacker'...what a name! After all these years, it still thrills me.
Tony, how about a high-quality mp3 file ? Those can be emailed, and, if done with variable rate coding, the quality is very good. Also, what is the time frame for this ? I am about to mix a song that is Rickenbacker all the way. Stay tuned !

I would suggest no lossy compressed audio. Not matter what bitrate or codec you may utilize.
Of course, CD's are also compressed.
If you're recording digitally and have it mixed and mastered to 2 track, I would suggest you burn the file to a data disc rather than CD at a sampling rate of 48kHz, or higher if you can.
Of course this how I would do it since that's how I do it for my work.
