A lot of things are "tipping toward the negative tip in North America" if you ask me...

Dane: I did not mean this statement to be provocative, but I suppose these words, taken out of context are bordering on controversy. For another Forum though.

Fair enough, Oh Wise-And-Benevolent-Keeper-Of-The-Train-On-The-Tracks...

Obviously, it takes very little to provoke me...all in good fun, though!

Every machine needs a ghost or two...

It isn't much more than 5 minutes of work to cut/splice the the jack to switch the polarity. A nice clean soldering job finished off with a heat shrink tube and it looks as good as new and will last forever. I just don't see the big hoopla over it having the + center pin.

Some universal ones come with a variety of replaceable tips, but the output is fairly low.

It's funny, if you go on the RIC website forum and type in "Janglebox" - it comes up as "Jingle Bells." If you try it again it comes up as "Pork Chops." Wierd 'eh?

And if you type in "Pyramids" it comes up as "Tetrahedrons".

It’s not that weird.
This topic has come up on that forum a few times (once by me).
If you search the RIC Forum you will find out why.

Rickenbacker (understandably) apparently does not wish to help publicize products/companies that they have “issues” with.

I’ll let the Halls (or others) possibly explain the details.
