It doesn't look like a too bad a buy at that price to me. I would still be a little concerned about the zero feedback though. Are these a bit of a beast to play then ? I wouldnt want to do the intonation and setup on one !

If it was a little bit cheaper, I might be tempted - Clapham's near enough for me not to wory too much about the feedback, providing inspection/collection was permitted...

Thats very true if you can get to eyeball it before striking. In fact if you could get to see it in the flesh he may even do you a deal on the side and pull it off ebay. He might do you a deal for a grand... that would have to be worth thinking about should you be in the market for a bass like that.

Have a great time in Portugal, Keith. But I'm gonna beat you to it! We'll be doing a bit of lurking inland, in the Alentejo region in a month.

Thanks for that John, I'm well in need of a break, its a pity it isnt a touch sooner but there you go. I'm not familiar with the Alentejo region, I'm sure Sergio will be however. You have a great time also, and make sure to sample plenty of the amazing fish dishes there. The restaurants were of a very high standard I found when I was last there. You dont have to pay lots to have a fine meal. Cataplana and Paella were superb.
