Geez, guys, those are beautiful guitars.... You all are feeding my Rickenlust....
I NEED (well, that might be pushing it), WANT a 600-something.... But I'm broke!

Melibee, I hear ya. Maybe between the two of us we can pool together and get a "Will Play For Rics" gig going.

BTW, Congrats, Jon.... I thought I said that already (I remember reading the thread, but I guess I didn't have time to properly congratulate you!)....
Alisha, I like it.... "Will Play for Rics." I think everybody here might be willing to jump on that bandwagon!

Very nice Jon! The 660 is probably my favourite Rickenbacker guitar.

Nice. How popular are the 660 6 strings?

Love my 660/12 - don't think I can play any other 12 strings.
Melissa, you still need one of these:

My guess would be that the 6s are not as popular as the 12s, Dan. I suppose the best source for the definitive answer would be RIC themselves.
I wouldn't mind trying out a 660/6 when I'm over there....

Yow! John, you got that right!
Not so sure about the gold guards with the BBR, though.... Silver would be great....

Howard, you guessed correctly. We seem to produce more 12's than 6's, not by much though...

Thanks for chiming in, Ben. I thought the difference would be quite substantial..... well, there ya go!

There was a beautiful flamey bbr 660/6 at The Music Zoo that I thought about getting but wasn't quite sure about the wider neck with a 6 string.

I might be the only person around here who prefers the narrower necks, even on the 12-string models, so I doubt I'd be down for the 660/6. The 660/12 is still eminently comfortable and truly delightful to play and drool over..er...stare at.

Actually I agree with you Rumbush. So there are at least two of us on the forum.

My next electric guitar will unquestionably be a 660/6. I love my 660/12 - it's the only 12-string I will ever need.
If I can get a 660/6, maybe I can get rid of both my Strat and my Les Paul!
For fun, here's a picture of my 660/12, from our cat's eye:

That's pur-r-r-r-ty, Dean!
