Hmm, I should be able to Google out where your house is living. A TPG-van drivin' up your street should be easy to spot and I suppose I could ....... It's only an hour away.
(TPG is Babelfish-Dutch for UPS/FedEx)

Pics! MP3!

@Philip: Any news about the headstock thing?

Image It's actually just a UPS-van which will bring the bass home.

I haven't got any news about the headstock thing, because I didn't asked it yet.
So, does anyone know why the headstocks are slightly different from eachother?
The E tuner in the next picture is above the "C" from rickenbaCker.

The E tuner on the next picture is just above the "A" from rickenbAcker.

Paul, it has arrived!! It really looks and smells like new! The UPS deliveryboy also brought my new Amp (Traynor 200 watt full tube) with him. It really sounds awesome! I'll post pics and mp3's later, first I'm gonna play this thing!

Whew! I am relieved that it got there without problems! I'm so glad you finally have the Jetglo you wanted! By the way, how much did you have to pay in duties?

On your headstock question, it has a lot to do with the headstock shape. Notice the difference between the two you show above. On the Blue Boy, see how the curve on the lower right (by the G string) pitches abruptly out from the nut, while it is more gradual on the Fireglo. Also note the relatively small and angular "crest" on the Fireglo, compared with the fat and more rounded one on the BB. Headstock shapes changed over time, and the shape is complicated by the fact that after milling, they are sanded by hand so there are variations from unit to unit.

Congrats Philip! It is a great bass. I am sure you will love it.

The size and shape of the 4000 series headstock has changed slightly several times over the years. That is why you notice a difference.

Hey, that's my '94 4003FG's headstock. Ain't it pretty?
Philip send me the pics of his new bass and I noticed the difference between his headstock and mine. I appreciate there's some difference due to it being handmade, but I didn't think it would be this much. I really like the shape of my 4003's headstock more than the BB Philip posted.
