On the BMI website, they list just those kind of facts. And, though I haven't looked recently, I know even a couple of years ago "Unchained Meelee" was king. Something like 8 million radio plays, to Yesterday's 7 mil. They say that's like having it played back to back for 8 years nonstop, or something.

Brian- Was your dad thinking of "Yesterday, When I Was Young" by Roy Clark? That was a big hit for him.

I had read several years back that Sinatra said his favorite love song was, "Something", by George Harrison. Kind of an odd thought really?

I think Sinatra actually credited Something to Lennon and McCartney while introducing the song, probably on a television show in the States once.

Sinatra did an awful version of it, at least the TV performance I've seen. And I'm a Sinatra fan.

Yeah,
that was a big joke here when he did that, He said something like: " Something is the best damn song that Lennon and McCartney ever wrote" he was lampooned unmercifully by all the younger comedians.
Yeah that guy who wrote that book is really cool, I wish there were more people like that. Most people here in the states would have him in court so fast his head would spin.
