Thanks,I built the website and graphics but it was done while I'm here in Egypt. My first gig back home is scheduled 16 Aug, I'm ready to get back in to the scene as soon as possible.

I do mostly pickup gigs now, blues, my last band was a cover/original rock a billy, blues/ punk type band. This was a few years ago. It was and still is a power trio. very loud band, I used An old SVT with two cabs, used a variety of Rics, V63's, 4003's and 4001's. I recorded an album of all original material in the early nineties with a 4001FL with Rotosound half rounds on it. The music was kind of a cross between hip country and David Byrne, kind of punky and new wavey. I brought a 68 P Bass and my Ric to the session along with a miked SVT and asked the engineer which he liked better and he liked both so of course I played the Ric.
I use flat wounds most of the time now, I get a much cleaner sound with them, no mud, I can use the treble pickup more with flats which cleans up the sound, gives them that low-mid punch that sounds so nice.

Took my girlfriend's vintage 78 4001JG to my last gig and loved the tone so much I just bought a 91 4003FG today. Hope to get it in a few days and really start gigging with it. Have been using a Steinberger XQ4DB, but the Rick has much better tone...
