I've got three sons - perhaps I should call them "Hi-gain", "Toaster", and "Humbucker".

Congratulations to both Chris and Jason and the wives! What a rewarding experience you have in store! My 3 kids are now adults and my wife and I are just so damn glad when they stop to visit or even call. So many great experiences watching/helping them grow up into wonderful people.

Jason, as I read through this thread I was going to suggest Jazz-Bo for his name but I see I was beat to it. My son has been Jazz-Bo since he was 3 or 4 - he called me Hightower. Not sure where either came from, but I am 6'3" tall.

Best in the world to both couples!!

I was just musing on the expectations we have for those that aren't born yet. For example, I come from a very musical family. Even though I competed at state in track, I think my dad is more please of me playing in smokey bars.

On the other hand, my wife came from a very athletic family. She put herself through college on a volleyball scholarship and played softball as well.

She has mentioned before how she hopes the child is musical and learns all that he can in that field. While I, never being that athletic, is hoping for a well-coordinated, monster-arm type boy.

The funny thing after inspection, is that either way (or both, or neither) we will be pleased no matter how he turns out.

As an aside John, I'm 6'3" as well and my wife is 5'10". Either way, musician or athlete, he should be tall!

The only thing we can guarantee about our child it that it will be fair-skinned & talkative!!

My singer/guitarist & his wife are expecting in September too - we're trying to start a legacy band!
