I doubt Paul's behind this becoming a major story in the press, but it won't hurt his case in the divorce proceeding.

Heather -- both pre- and post-breakup -- is being trashed because she married Paul. If she'd married me, who would have cared about these pics? Above all, Heather, Paul and Linda are human and subject to the same foibles as the rest of us. Linda handled the press better than either Paul or Heather, from all appearances. The tabloids are what they are because, for all the protestations against them, they continue to be read.

Though it seems to have been completely forgotten, Linda and Paul were trashed endlessly in the music press 30 years ago for her being in Paul's band with no prior musical experience save hanging out (and perhaps more) with the Stones, Doors, and Hendrix.

The moral relativism of doing things in the 60s Vs. doing the same things any other time is absurd.

And really, how much of a time bomb this is is yet to be known. It all is really sexist and prudish. Male rock and rollers can shag ten chicks a night for a decades but if a woman marries one she's a gold digger or if she did a soft porn shoot she's a whore, at least in mean spirited rags that cater to angry ignorant twits.

If I recall this accurately, it was Macca who pursued her at the beginning, not the other way around.

>>But apparently she crossed the "line" into sex-for-money<<

Like I said, I have not read it. But who are the sources for this and why are they only surfacing now? This woman has been with one of the most famous men on earth for years and it only comes out after they're divorcing. Sounds like **** to me.

Ach schadenfreude, schadenfreude, Ich liebe dich so!

Yes, the really heavy-hitting allegations are not really about the naked pictures but that she was a high buck call girl for Saudi Arabian petro-sheiks. Not that I care.

What I found truly amusing is after the slide show The Sun had a caption that said, "Are you the man in these photos? Contact us!!"
Listen to that sustain!

The man did contact them, and he gave an interview that said that he and Heather had "full sex" during that photo shoot...

Adnan Kashoggi was the Arab oil magnate (not a sheik). Verified by his social secretary, Heather's multiple co-workers (Mr. K. liked multiples) and Heather's madam.

That's all; it's a family Forum.

"But who are the sources for this and why are they only surfacing now? "

This is how the trades work, Glenn, and even though they have information prior on a celebrity, they inflame their information during discourse. It's all about opportunity. They have done this before and continue to work in the same mode. There are all kinds of 'hidden' knowledge on many celebrities that the press is waiting to jump on, with bated breath.

Man, this is gettin' weirder than a discussion of celebrity-owned guitars...

Okay, so Heather slept with nobodies for cash and Linda slept with rock stars for photo ops.

If this is true, then whatever Heather has said to counter it has been, as they say in All the President's Men, a "non denial denial."

The guy who was in the shoot must have also said they ran out of film before the sex occurred, eh? (Not very believable.) Or maybe he's just saying it to try to convince someone that he's straight.

As per the gold digger charges, I think it's pretty clear that Macca was chasing her. Besides, a high price call girl should have plenty of money to begin with.

Definitely -- he was after her! They had a lot in common --- but the personalities......Too bad. I feel bad for both.

Too many misstatements and generalizations, Glenn...

Adnan Kashogghi (sp?) was hardly a "nobody", being at the time one of the world's wealthiest men.

The shoot actually shows them in flagrante. The photos shown have been cropped. I won't go into detail here.

I don't know where the "straight" comment fits in.

Just because she was earning $2K per tryst from Kashogghi does not mean she had lots of money. Lots of party girls (especially in world-class party cities) have a way of spending what they earn. High-priced for one interlude does not necessarily translate into lots of money in the bank, long term.

Any guy who has to pay women to sleep with him is a nobody in my book.

Though I'm sure some would say Adnan is the scum of the earth, which is another thing entirely. I remember him in the 80s, the stories, and people saying as much about him and his sons.

It seems the Sun has the only copy of this book, eh? With the speed at which celeb sex tapes have hit the web in glorious detail, why else wouldn't the uncropped, uncensored versions already be out by now?

I know hookers don't have much dough. There's a lot of overhead (coke, wardrobe.)

I truly don't think the gold digger charge is warranted. And hey, at least she didn't sit in on keys.

I know that arguing ad hominem is the coward's way out, but...

Glenn, you are terminally cynical!

The book will turn up! Give it a few more days, then hit "Google".

I'll bet Amazon already has a waiting list of several thousand people for this one.

Oops.
On one hand, many people - at least where i live - believe that marrying a wealthy man is very similar to... eh... what Paul has mentioned in his post # 7990, no matter who starts "chasing" who first. I kind of agree, but then again, that's maybe because i've never been married to a wealthy man.Image
On the other hand, as Glenn has said, she was only 19 back then. People do change, sometimes for better, and sometimes at 27 (not to mention 37), you can hardly understand how could you do certain things at 19.
A tough subject, indeed. I'd suggest, let them decide for themselves. But that's just my opinion.
Nothing will get you dead quicker than being deadly serious about yourself.

"And hey, at least she didn't sit in on keys."

ala Linda.

The book may turn up indeed. But by today's standards it sure is taking a long time.

I wonder if Paris Hilton is breathing a sigh of relief.

>>Adnan Kashoggi <<

I thought he was an arms dealer, not oilman.
