Stock power is around 235HP but that is some fancy factory underrating. I'm not real mechanically familiar with anything that isn't a '60's Ford but from what research I have done and talking to my local turbo Buick turbo gearhead a reliable 500+HP can be had for less than $2500, some patience and know how. I have the $2500 and the rest I'll leave to my gearhead buddy. I may have to throw in some pizza and my old parts but that's a small price to pay. Image

Kevin.... I think it is "only" a twin turbo with no nitrous.... Image. I don't care for the hood cutouts but I have a feeling cosmetics weren't the 1st concern. This may be a different video than the one you were referring to.....

That's the one! I had only seen it on s..l..o..w computers at work.
Definitely a lumpier cam than stock. Hmmm...no nitrous?
Nearly achieves lift off. I imagine it would pull the front wheels easily on the strip if she hooked up well enough.

Yup, rework a TH400 valve (not tubes) body, re-oiler for the turbine bearings, nitrous...

oh yeah-no ethanol mixes here!

Sheena,
I found this on that website with the cars.

Is this a typical Russian pet? Image

Horses? Did somebody say horses? Here's my car, I've had it about a year. It has 340 of 'em all wrapped up in HEMI goodness!

Congrats on the GN Brian. I owned 3 Cutlass Supremes in the past & I'm a big Buick fan as well. My dream car is a 1969 Riviera GS. In high school my old guitar player worked at a Buick dealership & we'd go to the showroom & drool over the GNX they had on display...

Yeah, Jeffrey. But not the most popular one - polar bear is the most popular pet here! Image

Two years ago I had an F150 Lightning with 10lbs of boost and 400hp, you should see the look on someone's face when they get spanked by a pickup truck! I sold it last year when gas started getting crazy (premium only) and got all my money back because it was in like new condition, only 30,000 miles on it.

Brian, very cool find!

Hey, I would be happy to contribute toward your GN go fast fund. It would require just a little bit of travel for that "old" black 4004 you have lying around.

Ahem, paypal work?

Keep the rubber side down!

Gary, everything is for sale but let's just say that you could buy your own JetGlo Laredo and blacken it yourself for considerably less than I'd sell mine for. Image

Congrats on the Grand National.

"Stock power is around 235HP... " Advertised power is measured with the air cleaner and full "as installed" exhaust system. It is measured at the flywheel not at the tires. That is probably pretty accurate. Remember, at one time advertised power was what corporate conscious' would permit. If you want the faster one look for a GNX.

The only problem is that a GNX is $60-100K......just a tad out of my league. Image
