Re-gluing can be done two ways. Thin some glue and force it into the tiny gap, clamp, and hope for the best. Sometimes this works out. There is not always enough room to get enough glue in there to make a difference. The other way is to separate both laminations completely and reglue from scratch.

I have decided to remove any semblance of trademark infringement as per JH's 'suggestion".

The 4008 has a bound neck,

but this must be a transitional model as the "hack-a-shaq" bridge

That means a refin, which they tried to avoid, since the bass is a magnificent Fireglo.

Check out the way the E and A strings are strung - they're crossed over each other! Looks like it was converted to reverse the string order (hence the extra nut), but why the criss-cross?
