same strings on all basses ...

I was trying to make them all sound as much alike as I could ... and I was pretty successful ...

I think I will do it again but this time magnify the differences ...

"I had a better result without chorus. Maybe it's because of my ****** Behringer chorus pedal"

Philip - see if you can find an Ibanez chorus/flanger CF7. Nice sounding chorus and it was $60 USD. Here is the one I mean - not promoting SDM; it was the first link to one:

I agree with Christopher. The Black 4003 4-2-5.

They all sound good though. The black one has just a little bit more grind to it though.

Love that oil finished 4003S-5. ;)

Philip - I bought three other brands and returned them until I hit on the Ibanez.

Does anyone know of a good analog chorus pedal? I haven't been impressed with any of the digital effects I've tried (other than the Digitech Bass distortion pedal, but my FullTone slaughters it).

Electro-Harmonix has this one:
http://www.ehx.com/ehx2/Default.asp?q=f&f=%2FCatalog%2F14%5FModulation%2F09%5FSmall%5FClone

http://www.musiciansfriend.com/product/ElectroHarmonix-Small-Clone-Analog-Chorus-Pedal?sku=153312

It is cheaper now. I tried it and didn't think there was enough low end for my 4003 and prefered the tone of the Ibanez CF7. YMMV

Then there is this one:
http://www.tcelectronic.com/SCF

http://www.musiciansfriend.com/product/TC-Electronic-Stereo-Chorus-Flanger?sku=153001

Pricy but a pro piece of equipment - CS plays one. Haven't seen one locally.

I like the new clips!

Man.. is that you improvising on the Red "Van Halen" one?

I think that clip sounds awesome, nice!(I think the 2020 with the maple fretboard sounds great.. I may need to add that to my list!)

P.S., that last bass(the "bongo") really does have a "Unique" sound!Image

John - Is the CF7 also suitable for bass?

Don't get the CF7, I own a CF-7 and a Boss Flanger, and the Boss is more lush-sounding...

I like the ash P-bass, it has a fuller bottom. It would be more interesting to hear them all unprocessed by the POD.
