Kaia, so you're not a "real addict" huh? As far as I can recall your last Rickenbacker purchase was about two weeks ago wasn't it? Who are you trying to kid!
Was your hand shaking as you hit the Buy It Now button??
Congratulations on scoring such a cool guitar.
Welcome to the group....my name is Darren and I'm a Rick-a-holic!

Keep going, Kaia! I've bought 11 Ricks in 18 months, so take heed..... it is a
serious affliction!

More like holy bank balance, Kaia!
Thanks, Greg. You're right - in terms of what Ricks go for here, it was almost daylight robbery. Mind you, the seller was happy enough to let it go at the price, so who am I to argue?
I'm really looking forward to seeing Melibee's 325 in person, too. It is a stunner!

I think my 325 will be happy to meet so many of her admirers as well!
To be honest, it's been a while since I've played it, because the Purpleburst has been impossible NOT to play!

Love reading about the serious gassers!

And my wife thinks I'm bad, but my guitar buying history is basically this:
1981 - bought my 75 4001 used
1985 - bought a 66 Fender Mustang guitar for $90
1992 - bought a new MIJ FL Fender J bass
1999 - bought a used beater 86 MIJ Strat
2001 - bought a new 650 Dakota
2005 - bought a new 4004 Laredo
I've played in bands pretty much all the time for the last decade, so while the 6 strings are not getting much use, the Laredo is used very regularly. So I don't feel an guilt!
I do suppose I was on a "binge" about the turn of the century. 2 guitars in 3 years? I must have lost my mind!

Right, Kaia?

ED, your mind went where ours all go at times............shopping. I really hadn't played my 6'ers either for years, but I know am on a mission to improve my playing skills! Hey, I now have some lead riffs in my bag of tricks that I didn't have a week ago, so I think that deserves a new guitar, don't you?>
