The pic on Ed's website is a scan from Tony Bacon's The Ultimate Guitar Book page 118 and 119. You can still see the shadow on the neck at the 12th fret where the two pages meet.

Steven: I noticed that funny shadow on the fingerboard. It reminded me of the shadow (cast by a guitar stand) you can see on many often reprinted photos of Lennon's guitars.

Well, if he's looking that sort of money, the least he could do would be to photograph it!
That is, if he has it?

You would think it would being pimped to an unimaginable degree. Also, why no stories in the media? Any media. If memory serves, didn't Olivia purchase George's Rosewood Telecaster sometime ago at auction specifically to keep the collection in tact? Curiouser and curiouser.

IMO if it were George's actual guitar, we'd hear it on some sort of news media. It wouldn't just be on his website. Just like the Rosewood Tele and other Beatle stuff hitting the auction block. Also someone mentioned that the guitar was displayed at the Concert for George. How or why would it end up for sale at a small dealer? Given the source (Ed Roman) - I'd bet it's a copy. Or it "fell" into his hands so to speak.

JH has stated he believes the guitar in question is possibly the 360 George was given by a radio station and stolen from Abbey Road studios after their final tour. He said Ric was able to narrow the serial number down to one of a possible five. I don't know why anyone would shell out that kind of cash for something that was either hot or fake.
It isn't George's number one in any case. Olivia and Dhani would never give it up.

I thought the guitar in question was found and returned?

Sorry, but I didn't say that THIS particular guitar was George's. I only pointed out that we know his was one of five possible serial numbers but I have idea whatsoever what serial number is on the guitar that is being offered.

Exactly what I meant to say you said... ummm... yeah.
But regardless... if it IS the one that belonged to George, it is hot. If it isn't, it is fake (ie didn't belong to George).

Celebrity Rock Star Guitars is no longer listing George's guitar for sale. Did they sell it? Anybody hear anything?
