I'd like to see Victor Wooten play it....

Image Too funny. With 4 strings it'd be a hoot, but the tone is probably somewhat due to the flimsiness. With enough support the junk wood, would be, well, junk. As it is, there's so little there that you get a very pure tone from the string. And there are probably at least a few materials that could be strung up that will give a good bass tone.
