You got that right for sure, Paul! That guitar is HOT, HOT, HOT.... You'd have to hear it or play it to believe just how rockin' it is. Image

I came down with a severe case of RAS this morning. Now I want a lefty 481 BBR. I know it's a long shot, but what the heck.

Congratulations Melissa, it looks like you had fun despite the wind.

Buy a righty. I'll do the rest, RC.

Interesting...I can't recall ever seeing a factory left-handed 480 or 481, I reckon some were made though...

Paul and Melissa, that is a gorgeous guitar, seeing it in the sunlight really makes it shine!

Melissa, you certainly have an enviable collection of Rics, and I am glad you are making good use of them. My only comment is that you should dress more rock and roll. I could easily see you in a pair of leather pants, with leather boots, a dark suede coat with a cool upright collar and buttoned sleves, and a frilly shirt poofing out at said collar and sleeves. I know it's hot and it's outside, but the responsibility of the front-stage singer / entertainer / rock star is a serious thing to take on. The show goes on, you know. Image

Oh Steve, I know how to dress like a rock star when I want to, LOL! But for the kind of music we did for that gig, it was best to be our "real" selves.... In this case it was mostly original music and a few Christian rock and praise and worship covers that came straight from our hearts to touch our audience.

Maybe George on Seinfeld was right about Christian rock and those "hip and cool real musicians..."? Although there is no doubt in my mind that my friend Bill is a REAL musician indeed! Image

Maybe someday I will post a pic of me in my "rock star" guise just for fun, LOL! Image

I was at the factory in 1990 and asked about lefty 480 series guitars and was told that none were ever made.

Is it possible to "convert" a righty into a lefty? a 4080, for instance?

Melissa, I don't care if it was a poetry reading, entertainers must always be more than their "real selves" ! The only reason I feel like I can get away with this rant is because I was recently "made over" by a couple of females. I figure, if they can prod and poke at me, then I should chime in, myself, when it comes to something I know about (at least in fantasy), that being the megalomania of rock stardom. Image

No offense taken, Steve.... I know what you're saying! But considering that we are performing in our small town and I could just about name everyone in our audience, I would feel really weird trying to be something I'm not--THEY already know me too well, LOL! Image
