Aitch, The Monty 350 looks stunning. You must be thoroughly enjoying tinkering around in the Curmudge's lab!

You bet, Darren. Like a kid in a candy store. Or lolly shop as we would say in Oz Image

Yes Howard watch out for those Americanisms - I believe they're infectious. You'd better leave them behind before you come home or Darren, Greg and I will have to perform some Aussie exorcisim on you. Reminds me, better stock up on some VB, or maybe some Crownies if it's a bad case! LOL

Thanks very much, Brian. I like it too!

Definitely Crownies, Ron! Safeway has them on special - 2 boxes for $80 - I'll pay you back... I promise! I'm already a bit concerned about my budding Californian accent...... Image

Howard, Great looking guitar I'm glad to see
that other players play the 350V63. I would like
to one in each color but with a wife and
daughter I don't see that happing. How many Ricks
do you have?

Aitch, your 350 looks gorgeous.... Can't wait to see it firsthand! Might look nice posing with my 325--they've both got that same great body shape! Image

Scratch-X and Zymol did wonders for my 325, too, and it was already great-looking to begin with! Image

Would love to see a pic of your two Monties together....

Thanks, Lou. I have 9 in Australia and 2 over here, which will be coming with me to the 75th - both Montezuma Brown.

The 330 is coming along, Melissa. The Scratch-X and Zymol bit is done and the gold TRC and guards will be on later today or tomorrow. I have some work in progress pics of the 330 that I'll post tonight - if they are any good, of course! As soon as it's complete I'll post some 'twin' pics. Image

The Gretsch will be ready also but of course it will only be available for viewing away from the environs of the Confluence.

Speaking of the 75th I would like to go
but I know that's not going to happen.
So I have a question will anyone be filming
it? I would really like to meet the people
on this board and talk about our Rickenbackers.

Here's the 330 - work in progress. Just need to do the gold guard and TRC and decide on the knobs - vintage or oven.

I'm sure somebody will be doing some video and posting it somewhere, Lou. There will certainly be lots of stills!!

Howard, I'd go with the vintage black knobs rather than the oven knobs. The fifth blend knob tends to throw the aesthetics out when you have four oven knobs and one little black knob. I reckon it looks better with a complete set of vintage knobs.

Then of course, my Fatboy has the oven knobs with the vintage black blend knob and it looks great!

Where would we be without the old Scratch X and Zymol treatment eh Howard. The Monty should look real flash with the gold treatment, look forward to seeing some pics of the monty bros!

FWIW, I agree with Darren's comments re the knobs, but while you're in the lolly shop, try em all! LOL

Atich, I'll also echo Darren's comments about the knobs. I'm looking forward to seeing both guitars in person later this week.
