Brian, we're in SC until Thursday and then we fly up to Philadelphia to stay with that legendary bass player and Rickenbacker afficionado, Mr Dave Pascoe.
Dave has organised a jam next Friday night where I'll be able to try out my 1960 360 Capri for the first time. I can hardly wait to hear this baby sing.
Photos to come soon.
Unless I find something else along the way, tomorrow's exchange with Cole will be the last "deal" for now. Maybe I'll stumble across a 4005 bass somewhere......

So have you got a smile from ear to ear Darren? Are the new toys as good as you hoped for?
I don't know why you were having so much trouble staying on the right side of the road. That's the left remember? - no wait a minute it's the correct side of the road not the right, hang on now I'm starting to get confused. LOL

Life wasn't meant to be easy
Darren,
Did my trapeze tailpiece visit the land of it's birth?

Joey, it wouldn't have been a good idea to hide in the suitcase. The airline luggage gorillas managed to jump all over it between LA and Nashville. The suitcase arrived held together with packing tape. Hasn't anyone taught 'em how to use the freakin' zipper??? The guitars were safe though.
I'm now in Seneca SC, overlooking the banks of Lake Keowee. Man, what a view!
Time to go play some guitar!

Mike, please stay in touch...I'd love to catch up with you should you make it to Melbourne.
I've spent tonight with old friends of my parents at the house on the lake. Numerous bottles of red wine have been consumed. A very raccous version of "A Hard Days Night" was performed and I'm already onto the second set of strings on the 700C. Oh how I love this guitar!
On Thursday we fly up to wreak havoc in Philadelphia at Dave Pascoe's house.
In the meantime, it's nice to access to a computer for a while!

Brian, your trapeze tailpiece is still safety attached to my '59 335 MG Capri in Melbourne. The '60 360 FG Capri I have here is a more recent purchase.

Good News Darren! By the looks of the photo's you look like you're having a fun trip. What did you eat with all that red wine? Nothing beats a good bottle of red, a lake view and a guitar.

Yes, good red wine! Listen to Brian, he's a smart one! Darren, you gotta post some photos of you and Dave, when you get to the house. Tell Dave I'm after that '72 4001 in Japan!
Melbourne? That doesn't look so far away from my other bass player friend, Bob Daisley in Sydney!

Leprosy is rare & scarce but nobody wants that!
Brian, last night's main course was cajun shrimp skewers.
Mike, Melbourne and Sydney are 1 hour 20 minutes apart by air and 12 hours by road. C'mon down under!
I'm hoping to capture some of the action from Dave's place on Friday night for sure!
Today will be spent jetskiing on the lake, playing more guitar, drinking more wine, with a bbq for tonight's evening meal. Life's pretty tough right now....!!
