No MWPs; no permission from him and in any event licensing contracts are something I want to stay away from. No intrinsic value added with those, although I am a big fan.
I'll have some 12s next year. This year's meager output of 12s is spoken for already.
The pickup I'm using now is the LRBaggs iMix--state of the art!!!

My b-day is Sept. 25th, and of course i'd be glad to get a RIC acoustic as a b-day present... but then again, maybe in a couple of decades i will be able to give myself such a present. And now i'm just glad other people who need them more than i do will finally have them. Hooray!
Nothing will get you dead quicker than being deadly serious about yourself.
I confess I have some mixed feelings about the whole arrangement. On the one hand, it's a great opportunity for Paul to make a significant contribution to Ric history, and to further promote the company's acoustic guitar designs (as well as his own not inconsiderable luthiery skills). On the other hand, though, as someone who's had an acoustic on order for over three years now, I can't help but feel a sense of ... I dunno ... it's like lining up for hours at the movies or a show only to watch someone else step to the front of the line unimpeded and buy the last ticket. That sounds much more bitter than I want it to, but you get my drift. No offense intended to anyone. After all, the person who gets that Aquaglo Comstock is getting one heck of a guitar, so you can't fault them for jumping at the opportunity. I just wish that the equities had worked out a little better for those who are long suffering.
Squid: Perhaps the wait will have been worth it. You probably didn't know Paul back when you placed your order. Who knows, you might end up with one of Paul's acoustics that has a look that is even more unique than the one you ordered.
Life, as with music, often requires one to let go of the melody and listen to the rhythm

I am doing both sixes and twelves, but they will be going out one at a time. And no twelves until next Spring--this year's are spoken for.
John P., I don't disagree. However, it was an opportunity to get some Rick acoustics into the hands of enthusiasts, while the factory is on hiatus.
Since these are handmade one at a time, and my hourly rate is what it is, these are unique and pricier than Rick list price. John Hall and I had a brief discussion about exactly what we could call them that would describe their status.
In any case, those who step to the "front of the line" to buy this ticket, are going to be paying premium prices.
For now, I'll just say, "licensed by RIC". But I must re-emphasize: because they are built by me, warranty is also by me.

I certainly would feel a bit betrayed if somebody bought one these just to flip. I am building added value into each one...

Jingle Jangle hand made acoustics would be a well played heirloom to me. Something to pass on to the next generation after I had played and played and played it more. Other than my Rics, one of these would definitely exercise it's voice, and would be stepping out every week.
A mink, purpleburst or aquaglo one of a kind Ric licenced 700C 6 string with L.R. Baggs and checker binding... hmmmm.

You'd better believe it, folks! As a proud owner of two Paul Wilczynski refins, I can say with confidence that his work is second to none! My two PW guitars are stunning jewels in my collection of Rics, and are extra-special to me.
I can only hope and dream that I will someday be able to afford a PW 12-string Comstock!
