Eddier: I agree with you, the RIC 12 string set also feels great and sounds great. The final stage of the processing compresses and puts a smooth edge on the round wounds. I seem bent on using them. They are great for the 12 string solo on "I Call Your Name."

I really like the RIC string set. I use it on both of my electric twelves and have no plans to go any other place for strings.

I Call Your Name...one of the (usually) overlooked fabs tunes, and almost my favorite! Peter, can you give us a sound clip of you doing the solo?

Peter: I agree about the solo. Also there is some great 12 string vamping through out the tune.

True but always preferred What You're Doing for that Ricky sound of that period... always wondered actually...the 12 string sound on Every Little Thing...is that a Rickenbacker as it sounds rather different....

Chris: It is a Ricekbacker Model 325/12, at least that is my two cents.

8 of RIC 10-42 12-string sets have just come on eBay. Should be a nice deal if anyone's interested.

On Sunday, I restrung my twelve string JG 360 for the first time. It took me a bit over two hours, but, it was "easier" than I had thought. I won't wait so long the next time.

On Sunday, I moved the set of strings (factory Rics) on my 660/12 down one, and put two .09's on the high E. Plays a heck of a lot nicer, is better intonated. Playing a barre F doesn't hurt anymore. I don't like the unwound G, though, and four of the tuners are wobbly and weak, so I'm constantly tuning (it's a new guitar, came like that). However, lighter is better in my case.
