There's a delicious 1973 transition 4001 in burgundy/checkers that was running even with the shadow at one point but the shadow has leaped ahead by $1000. It will be interesting to see what they end at, the 4001 has the more desirable 25 CPJP vs 23, IMO. Image

I went back and looked at the pictures of both auctions,(rant on)-There's no way that shadow is worth more than that 73, I don't care how many they made(rant off). Ok, I feel better now.
Look at the picture of these Grovers, they look like they're brand new(Hmmm), but they could be 33 years old and just well taken care of -nice.

I went back and looked at the shadow again, it's one of the cleaner one's out there, and worth at least as much. Damn RIC gas.(burp)

Update- the 73 Burg went for $3250, very respectable showing against the shadow. This one didn't have wide inlays, but I think the transition checker models are very cool and also very rare, they only made them for a couple months.

I'll be selling my FG transition 73 in the next couple of months. CB and toaster, but without the full width MOP. It has the weird MB serial number...

Sold for $3,500

And this run-of-the-mill '76 Mapleglo went for $1,803... what's going on?

I liked the look of the '76 MG. It did come with a spare TRC. I thought about going to $1,200 on it myself, but 1.8K does seem a bit crazy.

I'm sending a link of that auction to my insurance agent. Might want to update the value of my Shadow.

I dunno about the seller - 1 feedback where the other person is no longer registered, and he doesn't accept Paypal...
