I wish it was reissued. This is the Rick bass that I want the most.

That is Ric Bass Perfection in terms of aesthetics.....in MY book, of course.

Yep, that's thee Rick bass for me. Pickguard is much better without the 'hump' and the horseshoe surround is more elegant that the V63/C64.
I don't like the inlays, but that a personal thing, if this was re-issued I'd be first in line.

What is this hump you speak of?

Well its not an official industry term, but compare the contour of the pickguard on a C64 to a modern 4003, in particular it's distance from the outer edge of the instrument.
Some 4003's have pickguards that almost touch the outer edge and I to my eyes this creates an optical 'bulge' or 'hump'.

It looks like an anaconda after they swallow a pig. Here's three 73's with slim belly's the way God intended.

Hey Jim, I remember your lust for all things fireglo, and I've got some bad news. The one on the bottom has an appointment to be refinned into the color I lust after...azureglo. I specifically sought after a checker, small inlay 4001 that had some wear and tear on it and found this one, it's got buckle rash and finish wear on the top edge. It also needs a refret so it's time for some work. They show up on ebay from time to time, but don't wait too long, the price for checkers is climbing.
