I agree Melissa. The Sea Green with white guards and truss-rod cover does look nice.

Definitley looks great on the 360 - an Accent Vibrato would enhance it even more.

But back on topic, I don't think it would be the end of the world if RIC suspended COY production for a year. A temporary lull in orders would certainly help them address their backlog. It would be interesting to know how much of an impact the COY has, and which particular COYs have had the most effect on production.

I think that skipping the COY for 2007, couple with the new CNC machines RIC just got just might help them get rid of a lot of their backlog.

So let's do our part to help them catch up and hold off on any new orders for a while!
Um....wait, that sounds wrong..

Maybe when they come back to a COY, they can do blueburst again. I love that color! Or even better, they could make it a regular color option.

AMBER MAPLEGLO!

I thought I was the only one who wanted that.

This would be nice especially with the walnut wings.

An instant classic.

Maybe RIC could continue the COY, but choose a finish that wouldn't be wildly popular, thus minimizing the impact on their production. I could be wrong, but I've always gotten the sense that the least popular (and lower selling) COYs were the "non-traditional" finishes like Sea Green, Desert Gold and Blue Boy. Finishes like Montezuma Brown, Burgandyglo and Antique Fireglo are certain to appeal to those who are interested in "classic" finishes and probably sold more units.

Orange with black hardware. The guitar for Halloween gigs, otherwise known as Pumpkin-Glo.

Haha, Steve, why do i sense a certain "hidden agenda" in that post?

Sure, resolving the backlog problem is simple! Just reissue either Sea Green or Blue Boy! Image

No COY reissues John - the hunt is half the fun!Image
I must admit that I like the "non-traditional" COYs and would welcome any additional finishes that fit that mold.
