It sounds like the service department is much better now than the one experience I had in the 80's.
I bought a new 4003S in 1986. After a couple months I started noticing buckle rash on the back near the rear strap button. That was weird because I wasn't gigging it, just playing at the house. It kept getting worse and worse. I started checking around in the case and I found hardened glue in the case that was marring the finish. I called the place I bought it from, and they got me in contact with RIC customer service. The nice lady there basically told me Tough $hit, because they didn't make the case. So it wasn't their instrument that was faulty. Turned me off from Ricks for 15 years.

Customer Service items (returns) usually get the highest priority in most companies. This only makes sense.

It would certainly be good for my sense of humor to have an equivalent of the Prime Minister (or our "president") standing in front of Commons (our Senate) for a spirited accountability session.
Instead, we get personnel-controlled, scripted photo ops" and "appearances" with awesomely-reasoned, well-crafted debate like "stay the course".
That verges on politics, so, just like Ann Coulter, I'm outta here.
(That's the only thing I'll ever have in common with Ann, excepting large Adam's apples.)

Where did that come from Paul? I happen to be more of a conservative which probably doesn't make me to popular with some of you, but I will agree with you on Ann Couter. She is a scary person.

I'm more conservative too, Brian. So I won't hold that against you.

Came from Tony's remarks about Brit Parliament and my free-associative response. Sorry if they seemed OT.
Not sorry to Ann, though. As if she could care; it's ALL good publicity, Mr. Barnum!

Don't go off the deep end here now. I'm sure RIC will get it back to you before you go into total withdrawal.

Richard, i'm in the city too, would you like to rent my 4005 in the meantime?
Seeing as how you're a fellow forumite, I can offer it at the discounted rate of $500 per day. Let me know if that's cool.

LOL! Thanx John, but my '05 4003 MG, and my Rogue violin bass will be able to hold me over.
