yeah that emp guy's everywhere. Wish I had the funds but think I'd rather pay a bit more down the road for one in a little bit better condition. That stupid one I missed would have been perfect. uggh.

That green tint is rather nice, I must admit. Very emerald-sparkle-glo.

Flip This Bass!!!

I know I started this thread off by saying that the first seller could have gotten $1500 for the one he sold for $885(I still stand by that figure), but I definitely feel like this second silver/BT is worth that(it's not the same bass) because it appears to be a really clean example.
All of this shows how many people read this forum and obviously set their prices on what we say here, this is too much of a coincidence to be anything else. To the forumites who are amazed at how the prices have been rising lately, if you look at the ebay completed auctions you will see a trend for regular 4003 models with rare color/features to price significantly higher than in the past. My 1997 bright white/BT 4003 went for $1899 on ebay about a month ago, they appear to be as rare as the silvers.

What makes you say it is not the same bass? Granted I did not look at it too closely.

I just sent the following to the seller. I will post his or her reply:
Hi,
I am wondering if this is the same silver and black 4003 you
bought a few weeks ago for $885? If so, there is certainly
nothing wrong with buying low and selling high, but the one
that you bought for $885 had some finish damage on the back.
If this is the same bass, did you refinish the back? I can see the
case is the same and the serial number begin with the same
lettter. These are scarce so it would make sense it is the same
bass. If you did some finish work I would like to know though as
I think it should be disclosed.
Thanks!

Then what adjective would describe my 4003 WHT WT with white binding (the one in the foreground):
"rarer"?
