The yellow 206SP belongs to Carlos Monteverdi, all his cars are yellow with the green ring around the nose.

Johnny B-

The surround for the Re-issue Horseshoe has the same screw pattern as the surround for the 4003/4001, only inverted. That's why I had to mount my pickup ring upside-down on my V63(center). I didn't want to drill any new holes, so that's what I had to do. It ain't the best looking solution in my opinion, but now it plays the way I need it to:

Jeff, I don't think the inverted surround looks bad a t all. It's the inverted vintage surrounds that look goofy.

I don't see anything wrong with it either. If it plays and does what you want it to, that's what counts.

Actually, that's a Milwaukee confluence shot. I think Ted Staberow's is one, and the other one belongs to Lindsay Hahn. I shot them all together because everyone knows you never see a Jetglo V63!

Getting this thread back to the main issue here...

The brass version discussed is a very good reproduction, but still a reproduction. Mark needs a little more transparency in the wording of that auction as it could be interpreted as an original surround and it's not.

We, on the forum can see the small differences, but many out there cannot.

Still, if you want a vintage type surround, this is the best you are going to get, unless you get very lucky and find an original.
