I can't remember who had the 4005 - sweet though. There were alot of dealers there. The convention center was hugh.
I was tempted a few times but I just laid out some serious funds for my 88' Pete Townsend 1998 LE.

It was fun and they have another show coming this spring.

Thanks for the photos Kevin Image

I have a bass on consignment at POTR...it was really weird to see it in the photo from half a world away!

The show is still on today, Sunday. If my buddy brings the 66' 330 12 string home, I'll shot some pictures of that too - if it doesn't sell. He's probably going to price it high because I think he going to hold on to her.

I was there Saturday Morning until about noon.

The 4005 had one of the darkest Fireglows I have ever seen, almost a plum-color in the dark portions. Could have been a refin, if it was it was a great job. Unfortunately, I didn't get to look at it for very long.

Lots of stuff there. If you wanted a Fender, you wouldn't have had a problem, LOL.

John,

I've seen another 4005 like that. It was a WB too. I'd hazard a guess and say that could be a late 68/9 bass, where the FG goes dark again after the 67 period.

Or, maybe at the time someone was blending the new BG in the mix tooImage

Tell me, is that $3.5K being asked for this 73?!

Andrew,
Which 73'? I don't know all the models by year but I have a book. If you let me know which 73' RIC (color, model) I can post a better pic of that one.

Now that’s the first 4005 to really poke me in the side (with the exception of John’s burgundyglo). If I didn’t have 10K laid out on new Rick’s already this year I may have considered that one…
