That baby is pulling good money with a lot of time to go.
Looks nice Ken.

WOW....2K already...so much for a refinish hurting resale values.

What did Ken pay for the refinish and who did it? Plus the cost of the bass, extra pickguard and TRC he has to be into for close to that amount. Sure is pretty.
I miss Ken around here.

You have to go white/white...but, you all knew I was going to say that anyway.
It would seem that Ivo wants this bad....

Since I'm going to refin my blue boy 4004 to bright white(Paul W.) this is a great preview of a contoured body rick in white, except mine will be sans pickguard and have black hardware, yummy.

I wonder if I have a V63 or a C64 laying around somewhere?

This bass shows my favorite white combination on a Rick - black pickguard, chrome hardware. The black hardware is a bit much for me.

White WT-love it!
Too bad mine's going bananas...
Wonder what happened to that V63's horseshoe?

My brother finished this one for Ken. I'm pretty sure he said white was the biggest PITA that he ever did. He had to try something like 3 different "clear" coats before he got one that didn't instantly turn it yellow.

I find that to be an interesting fact ... I wonder if it had something to do with what additives (e.g. stabilizers) were in the paint and/or clear coat formulations.

There you go, Gary, thinking like a chemist!
It would be interesting to know.

Gary,
Sorry, I've been out for a while. I could find out what clears he used if you would like to know.

It's time for Wints to bring out pictures of the "Holy Grail" for comparison.
