Happy B-Day John, I just had my 47th on the 5th of Nov. (bonfire day if you've seen V for Vendetta). I was 21 in 1980 and I don't remember it so it must have been good! Anyway, we could drink legally back then at 18 and it was my generation that messed that up so I would like to take this opportunity to apologize for that......not. ImageImageImage

Happy belated birthday John B.

BTW, I need some help. I have a nephew turning 21 next week and I have no idea as to what to give him since he doesn't play any instruments. Got any ideas?

Aw shucks, thanks J-dog.

Richard - a popular gift for me was a bottle of Bombay Sapphire - it's my favorite drink. Not that I was drinking it before I was 21, of course!

Way to go John!! Stop by the Zoo anytime and it's Bombay Sapphire you'll have - my gin of choice too!

So HB wishes to you and Jerry (we should have had toasts during the 75th!!) and also to Mark, too!

I turned 21 in 1973 and it too was a special time - I realized I should start acting more mature - still waiting to start! ;)

I was busted in a bar in Guelph, Ontario 6 days before I turned 19 (the legal drinking age here). The fine was $53.75. I was fine with it (at that point I was in no shape to argue and could actually, barely speak!) but the funny thing was that the cop was so apologetic - the Canadian way I guess - "Well, I'm sorry, you seem like a nice kid but, you know, you ARE too young and, well, if you'd been a couple of days older, well, you know, I might have..." I actually felt sorry for him. And, I distinctly remember thinking, just stop talking and give me the f****** ticket, I really need to find my bed!

Happy birthday King Biscuit Boy!

Happy Belated B-Day John. At "23" I thought I was the baby in this group. No I just need about 2500 more posts to catch up.

"Good Luck"
- Rick

P.S. Time flies from this point on, so grab a bottle of "Crown Royal" and relax.
