I don't own a Hipshot but from what I have seen it is a well made part and it looks nice. If the body has not been carved up you should be able to put a genuine Rickenbacker tailpiece on it. The current production parts look just like the old ones but are far more solid - no end lift.

As far as I can tell, Autumnglo shipped with three different sets of plastic.

All black
All white
White guard with black TRC.

Mine was made with a white guard and black TRC but I have always favored the look of the black pickguard.

More pics to follow in a while. The pic above looks a lot darker than the bass really is.

I am having trouble getting the true color to show up in a picture. The binding for example is well ambered (almost cream colored) and the grain in the wood is just unbelievable.

I'll keep trying to get an accurate picture by placing the bass under different light sources.

This is also a very dark pic but...it's the best I can do so far.

Nice bass Jared. I won't ask about the bridge pickup Image

Okay this is better but it almost looks like AFG in these pics. This is a hard color to capture.

I think that would rather have an original bridge on it if at all possible. The Hipshot though, looks to be a suitable replacement bridge.

Jeff perhaps drop me a line when you get a minute to look through your parts drawer.

It's a beauty! Lots of red in the finish.

Thanks Jeff,

Here's to a happy upcoming thanksgiving holiday btw.

Kevin the reddish colour is actually more brown than those pictures depict. I am having trouble capturing true colours. The bass is drop dead gorgeous. Oh! and just as important it sounds great. The capacitor must still be in place as the it has that classic 4001 sound.
