It has a '68 release date on that tune so it very well could be from the same session as "Barabajagal (Love Is Hot)". Sounds about right too.

Yeah, i was thinking that as I wrote my post, I had that title pretty close huh?

My daughter had a conversation with Donovan last year in Philly after he played the Tin Angel. She asked him about Hurdy Gurdy Man. Donovan told her that he had to choose between the George verse and the Beck solo (pop singles were strictly limited time-wise in those days). He chose the Beck solo because it was "just so cool."
