My high school math teacher used kidney stones to teach us about probability. Honestly. The question was: If you have the surgery, you have a 10% chance of serious inury or death, and if you take drug treatment you have a 15% chance of serious side-effects over a longer course of treatment. Which do you choose? I never forgot that lesson.

I'm very glad that the odds are in your favour, Paul. All the best and get well soon.

Darn it all Paul. For the best part of a week I have been trying to stay away from reading and posting on very this addictive forum. You have to go and get sick and ruin my plans to do other supposedly more important things. Personally I have placed a very high value on the bonds formed with my family and my friends. So as a result, I feel compelled to let you know that my thoughts and prayers are both with and for you. Get well soon.

You talkin' to her or me?

She looks like she's doin' her dentist. Oh, sorry, you asked HOW was I doin'...

Slippin' into darkness every hour or so. Heavy painkillers, etc. Not fun. But every coupla hours I feel zesty and haul out one of the Ricks and shine it up.

Thanks to EVERYONE here for the good Vib-R-Olas.

I opened this thread and was very touched...you're a great e-family! Just the best.
