That's only for show Andrew, most of them sit in the case while no one is around. They all do go out on the road however.

Dave ... I don't dream of spending time in your basement ... you see ... my problem is my dreams aren't that good ... but I would love to play the Entwistle Alembic in your basement ...

And the I would want to play a 4003s8, a 4080, a 4005, etc ...

dude you need a 4003s5 to add to your collection ...

I used to have one just like it except with a flamed koa top and I had it made into a fretless.

Many many years ago I had a similar dream, but it was about Gretschs. At the time, I only had one (a '65 6120), but in my dream I came upon a warehouse and found a whole bunch of different colored Gretschs and they were all mine! It was one of those "really real" dreams, where it just feels SO real, when you wake up you're disappointed that it WAS all a dream. And for some reason, the memory of that dream has stayed with me.

Well, years later, now I have 4 more Gretschs, with an eye on a couple more. I like to think I was just dreaming of the future! (Nah, I know, but I can think it.)

So now I have 3 Ricks....I'm just waiting for the dream about stumbling into the Rick warehouse, and I'm just trying to get a jump on that dream.

My husband occasionally has a recurring dream that we are visiting his parents and they tell him they want him to get his car out of their garage, and when he looks in the garage, the car is the race-built souped-up GTO that he had when he was a teenager, the one that he regrets having sold to this day....

Strangest dream I ever had was dreaming my friend was calling, so I woke up and grabbed the phone - he was on the line, flabergasted I answered as he had just finished dialing and it hadn't rung yet.

When young, I used to dream the dreams like the harder you run the slower you go, etc., but the older I got I always win in my dreams.

I also remember one dream from when I was about 12 that was totally realistic, other than that I was flying by flapping my arms; I would see my neighborhood from about 50 feet up and it was really realistic. When I awoke in the morning, my arms were really tired, probably from pushing against the bed all night!

I have had, since then and through the years, dreams of being able to just fly by willing myself to float up - it is always just a mental excercise - I really wish it was possible as it feels so neat in the dreams.

I have to say this is one of the most interesting threads I have read here.

John, have you tried wearing a feathered suit? From my observation of birds, it's not just a matter of flapping your arms. You apparently need a decent set of feathers as well.

Alternatively, try wearing your underpants on the outside and donning a red cape. You still might not be able to leap tall buildings but you'd sure look mighty special!

Hey, I shouldn't be stirring you up. I've had similar dreams (but without the arm flapping thing).

Shove over...it's my turn to lie down on the therapist's couch!

Darren -

The flapping is more a graceful soaring - very pleasant feeling, just floating around. The later dreams of mental floating - it is a focusing of mental energy to just lift off and move thorough the air - is very interesting from a possibility point of view. We only use about 10% of our mental faculties.

I wonder what Freud would have to say....

Hey John, in terms of evolutionist theory, we're probably "the missing link".

Thousands of years from now the experts (who float and fly freely) will point back at our existence and say "see, those blokes started it all with their thoughts of graceful soaring".

Jeff I had 3 of them over the years. I just play on "auto-pilot" too much, and I think that the "B" sting is the "E" sting.

About seven months ago, just after re-discovering Rickenbackers, I actually dreamt that I found a blue burst 4003 in a mall music store. The guitar's finish in the dream was very detailed. Next day, I told my wife about it and she said "Maybe it will come true". I explained that Ric never made a guitar in that finish.

About a week later, while searching the web for a V63, I came across a BBR 4003 from Bass Emporium in Austin, TX. That's how I learned about "COY 2005". Needless to say...

Most dreams are a different subject matter, though, as middle age dictates!
