I made that pickgaurd that you see in the pictures. If you could see it up close you'd be able to tell. I free handed it with a jigsaw. The original has 2 extra holes drilled in it for the switches that the previous owner put in for the active p/u (p-style) he had in it.
The Vintage horseshoe sounds great. It has that Rick growl, even with flat wounds on it. I mostly use an Ampeg BA-115 now and the tone is great. It really doesn't lack any in volume as opposed to my 4003. I use the 4000 more than the 4003 at gigs, the neck is very slim front-to-back and I just can't put it down.
