I also think it's a great idea.

Log in and then click on Topics in the left panel. There is no need to make any other changes Mark.

A very appropriate move. It might have the added benefit of inducing some lurkers to become contributors as well.

Always thinking of the members Peter, good man!
Just a thought, and I don't know the technical details of how hard/easy this is to do, but instead of going into the profile to log in, can it be a link on the forum page? I noticed there is a LogOut option, could this be toggled depending on your current status?
I'm sure I haven't had a flash of brilliance,(which doesn't happen all that often I might add - LOL), but if this is already in the pipeline, please accept my congratulations above and ignore the rest.

Great, thanks Peter, worked!
Very good idea.
And guess what, the Cookies works now.
Speaking about the thread though, I'm curious ...
When I first joined, it seems as if it was mostly, if not all, forumites wishing to sell their own equipment and giving others here first dibs so to speak.
Now it seems it's mostly links to instruments being sold on eBay or somewhere.
I'm not saying it's bad but it's different.
Know what I mean?
What was the original intent? The Topic description doesn't really say.

AAAGGGHHH!
I was planning on "saving" my 500th for something and I lost track.
Oh well.

Oh well, congrats on #500, Mark!
I'm with Ron, there should be a link to Log In. I currently click on Log Out, then click on the link on that page to log back in.

Ron and Gary, shift your gaze to the left under Utilities.

Peter is there a way to make that page only accessible to members instead of having to log in twice?

Yes, that is the way it is at present Greg. One completion of log in or edit profile will get you there.

Nice, Peter! Worked for me just fine. Perhaps the subject "Rickenbackers Wanted" should also work this way since ebay links are posted there, too.
