"Speaking of the "He's Dead Facts", what's up with the O.P.D. patch Paul has on the Sgt Pepper album? People thought it meant "Officially Pronounced Dead"(WHY there would be a patch for that, I donno), while my book says it was supposed to mean "Ontario Police Department". Does anyone know what it's supposed to mean? Or was it just there for them to be different?"

The patch does indeed have 'OPP' for Ontario Provincial Police. It looks like OPD in th e photo because of the way it's turned. I have one of these patches, just like the one on Paul's Sgt. Pepper's uniform.

Ha! Ha! Interesting posts. 'thought my original question might stir the pot just a bit.

I personally think they were bored naughty pranksters looking at the mania going on around them and were out simply to pull peoples' chains.

I've read that McCartney picked up that OPP patch while here in Toronto, Ontario for one of the Beatles' three concerts they played here.

People were always trying to give them things (patches, herpes, Rickenbackers....).

Regardless, I've always loved the fact that a small bit of Canadiana graces one the most famous albums of all-tiime.

Check this out.........

If a mirror is laid horizontally across the words "LONELY HEARTS" on the drum on the cover of Sgt. Pepper, the mirror image spells "1 ONE I X HE ^ DIE". This has been interpreted by believers in two ways.

The first is the 1, the "ONE" and the I each represent one of the Beatles, while the "X" signals one is missing. The second interpretation is that the date of Paul's alleged death is given. In this interpretation, the "1" and "ONE" make the number 11, meaning November. The "I" and "X" are taken to represent Roman numerals making the number 9. According to this interpretation, the message is either "11th September, he died" (using the British system of writing dates) or "November 9th, he died"(In 1966 November 9th was a Wednesday, referring to how he died on a Wednesday morning at 5 o'clock) (using the American system), neither of which would fit with the theory that McCartney died during the recording of Sgt. Pepper's—the album was recorded between December 1966 and June 1967, with an additional session in July 1967.

In both cases, the arrow formed between "HE" and "DIE" appears to point to Paul.

Make that...one of the three times they were in Toronto to play concerts, as at least one was a double-header.

Hey, I was 2 years old and standing on a Halifax pier.

Say what you will about Paul being dead (and anyone who buys into that should go purchase the nearest bridge) ...... we now have compelling evidense that John and George are dead. But are they really?

Why isn't there a "John is alive and living in the Dakota" conspiracy theory? I have it on good authority that there exist some grainy photos taken from Central Park of him peeking out behind the curtains. By zooming in on the Dakota, one cna clearly see that John is alive and well.

Image Image Image Image ... ya just cant fake THIS kind of evidense!

Or perhaps they could appear on this kooky site:

Or maybe "George is alive and living in a remote Indian ashram theory? After all, it makes perfect sense that George would want to really get away from it all. And how come we never see any photos of Dhani taken on his dad's birthday? Could it be that he is secretly visiting India? Hmmmmm?

All these questions demand immediate answers.

Yeah. One of the stupidest parts of the hoax is that some people think that the Revolver album cover is a death clue, however Paul supposedly "died" after Revolver.
