Are these stories going to involve walking 5 miles though 10 foot high snow to get to the internet?

The Rickenbacker Project was perhaps the first Rickenbacker site moderated by "Evil Bob." Bob wrote passionately about Rickenbackers and posted photos and comments submitted through email. This site stopped in 1998 I believe as he grew tired of the work and the cost of keeping it online. He deserves much credit for his work.

I used to go to that site a lot. I was just finding my way around the internet then and I was excited to find a site that shared my enthusiasm for RICS. I believe Bob's last name was Bellhof (spelling may be wrong).

Geoffrey: I may be way off base here but I never made the connection between Evil Bob and Bob Belloff.

I was thinking that was the name that came to mind. When I was looking for a Cavern reissue in the mid 90's I had asked him about these. Bob was the one that had one possibly coming to him but I found one before he got one to sell to me. I'm almost positive that the emails from the rickenbacker connection were from Bob Belloff.

Geoffrey: Bob Belloff had his own site, "Bobcat Guitars" for a while. For the ost part, however, it was designed for the sale of Rickenbackers. Perhaps he will comment.

I don't believe Bobcat & Evil Bob are the same person. I think Evil Bob was working out of Florida or some other southern state. The Rickenbacker Project was where the announcement of Peter's alt.guitar.rickenbacker was made.
What I find strange is that after The Rickenbacker Project was taken down, we never heard from Evil Bob again. I would have thought he'd show up on AGR or here at some point.

Who knows Bill, perhaps Evil Bob have visited here from time to time. Perhaps he will drop us a line. In the meantime, this increases Bobcat's or was it Bobkat's, the latter looks better, profile.

I remember having contact by email with Bob Belloff regarding RICs and Hofners and a site he had that had a for sale area. Maybe that was all there was. It was then onto the Vox Showroom when it was still a very active site. I don't have any idea whether Bob and Evil Bob are the same. I'm just glad Peter has kept this site going as it has been a daily read for me for a long time. The wealth of information running through this site for all of the RIC fans like me would be hard to find elsewhere. Thanks Peter!

I believe they are different "Bobs." What was that thing Evil Bob wrote? "How to Fetish a 4001." ...?
