If that '72 could talk, it would probably have Tourette's syndrome.

Paul M - You sure suffered your share of oafs around the guitar stand!
Not the worst of horror stories...
My first "real" guitar was a used early 70's LP Deluxe Goldtop. Finish was so ripped up, looked like someone had played it with a nail. Against all advice, I refinished it myself... twice! (dumb teenager syndrome) and put a Bigsby B5 on it (yes, the wrong type Bigsby). It's long gone, but got this as a sentimental replacement years later to "atone" for all the stupid things I did to the first one.

My '84 LP Studio. Years ago my toddler son got it out from under the bed, out of the case, and pulled off three tuners and all the control knobs while he dragged it around the room before his mom caught him. I eventually replaced damaged parts. Front looks OK, but the back has case of "diaper rash"! Never underestimate the ingenuity and strength of a toddler!

I thought a screwdriver was a drink.

Only one should ever be near a guitar, certainly not both at the same time. I have the feeling that there was a lot of both around mine at some time.

My Strat
It's a frankenstein I made, it sounds and plays amazingly good. The body is from a cheap Peavey that was used as a stage prop in a theatre show for a couple of years, where it wasn't really handled with care. Strangely enough the neck was undamaged, that's on my other guitar now.
