Ok, a few beers later,,,getting creative. Another good reason to use D'Addario strings,, If you collect your string cartons you accumulate points that let you get cool stuff for free.
Just throwin down a few for the New Years!

2007 is 10-1/2 hours old down here! For those who havent got there yet, hope you have a great evening as well as new year!
An extremely enjoyable evening spent in the company of Darren Trott and his lovely family, Howard Bishop and friends, plenty to drink and eat, and plenty of Ricks to play! BUT.....
Then we were gatecrashed....by the Navy!(in-joke!)
My wife Andrea, myself and my boys wish you all a wonderful 2007!

Yeah... it was a lovely night with lots of Ricks, 'Crownies' and great company. Thanks, Greg and Andrea for your wonderful hospitality.
I wish all forumites, their families and friends a very happy and safe 2007. Thanks for the special mention, RCB!!

Happy New Year to all from down under, I expected to have a quite night with friends and didn't finish up getting to bed until 2.30am

- getting too old for this sort of thing!
Feeling a little rugged this morning but have to pick myself up pretty quick as there's a jam on at Howard's this afternoon. Methinks that the neighbours won't be getting harassed today, it will be a quiet session, maybe even an acoustic today. LOL

It's 6:24pm here in Minnesota, and there's no way I'll be up at midnight. So, as has become my custom over the years, at 6:00 I raise a glass in the general direction of my family in England, and celebrate a tad early. Tonight it's Sierra Nevada Celebration Ale, and we finally have snow on the ground - a fine combination.
I may not be the most prolific contributor here, and with only a 650D to my name, may be barely qualified to rub shoulders with the cognoscenti - but this is my absolute favourite place on the Internet to hang out in (or should that be 'in which to hang out'?)
Thanks to all of you who help to make it so (especially Peter), and a Happy New Year to one and all!

David: One, a hundred, two, ten or none - it doesn't matter. Simply an appreciation of Rickenbackers and the great people around these parts is enough in my book.
I'm having a 'recovery' ale right now, so I raise my glass to you!!
hic!
Aw geeeez, Ron!! I was going to get you on the bass and crank it up today............

Just hit New Years here in Canada, about an hour ago and I'm just now going to pull out the 360-spent a quiet/fun night at home with the family. I find it weird that the Aussies are already recovering!
Dave, love that word - cognoscenti. I've got to get that one in a song somehow!
