I've used both "medium" gauge, which are .045-.105, and "medium-lite", which are .045-.100. Both are great, though I'm leaning towards the medium-lites, just because the E string seems to be a bit snappier, which I like. Just keep in mind that the Hi-beams are "lighter" than most other strings in general, because they're compressed rounds, so the "lite" gauge may be too light. Or it may be perfect. I would recommend medium-lites, though. Very nice.

hey jeff, i like the carvin stainless roundwounds. the sound great and you cant beat the price. i wonder if they sell in bulk?
