Amber Fireglo = Aged Fireglo, or maybe not?

Anyone know how to do it in PhotoImpact? I know it has something to do with resolution, but I don't know how to adjust it to be under 36K.

Right now the picture is 320x200 pixels, and it's still at 188 K. I don't want to shrink the size any further, as it's already pretty small.... Wish I knew how to do it! Sigh, I hate being technologically challenged, LOL!

In the picture you can see that AFG and true vintage FG are really close in color, although my 365 is just slightly more faded.

Very similar color!
That shot really shows the difference in size of the two guitars also. I never realized just how much difference there is!

I think the picture is somewhat deceiving that way, because of the bigger guitar being nearer to the camera.... It doesn't feel as small as it looks in the picture to play--at least I find the transition to playing a short-scale to be quite simple and painless, as long as the short-scale is the first one I pick up, LOL!

The main difference appears to be in the finishes of the necks, where the Amberglo neck looks darker on 1996. I am deeply envious of the 1996, but those crushed pearl inlays really ZING out on the 365. You have great taste in guitars Melissa.

Amazing, thanks for all the help everybody. I actually ordered a 660/12 sight unseen, which I've never done before. There's nothing regarding Rickenbacker (new models, at least)around here unless you want to go to Quigly Music (I think that's what they're called.) in Kansas City. It's quite a drive, and when I called they didn't have any Amber FireGlo in stock, and it took a few people to understand what I was talking about. I finally had to say "It's Rickenbacker's 2006 color of the year. Last Montazuma Brown was 2005's..." And the guy said "Huh. Haven't seen any of those." So, I went ahead sight unseen. I had to very nearly max out my credit card to get it, but in my opinion, it was definitely worth it. I have a late-60's 330 that I bought used a pawn shop, but that's another story. I'd always wanted a twelve string Rick. I played a 360/23 a few years ago, and it was just too small for my hands, then I saw a 325/12 re-issue, and the same thing happened. It just happened than a friend of mine temporarily traded for a 660/12 for a recording date, and I tried it, and it was like coming home after a long voyage abroad. So, that's what I aimed for. The 1996 was a strong choice too, but ultimately, I thought I'd be more happy with the 660.

Anyway, I told this whole story to the same friend who had the borrowed 660 (and ended up buying it, a beautiful Birdseye MapleGlo.) and he said "I thought you weren't too crazy about Cherry Sunburst." and I said "Isn't it just an aged FireGlo?" (Which was my understanding.) and he said "No, it's a straight-up Cherry Sunburst."

So, I was a little worried. I'd be happy no matter how it looks, but I'm going to sleep a little better now. Sorry it was such a long post, but I didn't know how to pare it down much.

That 365 is a beauty Melissa! What year is it?

1967. My third Ric, and the one that feels perfect to play.... the neck is incredibly thin, and the action is wonderfully low, without any fret buzz.
