Will do. Watch your e-mail box.
Norris, your treble pickup is done. Now I'll fashion a mountplate therefor and the whole thing will be on its way to you next week.

Bridge pup output.....

Works great, Sérgio. It sounds spot-on like a vintage toaster should. (scatterwound with 44 gauge wire to 7.5k) The same can be said for the HS PU rewinds you did for me.

Thanks again!

A friend has an early '70s bass that the magnet went south on. Don't discount that magnet when looking for weak output especially if you have a good coil impedance reading.

Hey Mark. Thanks. Well, looks like I'm on the road to success haha!
Norris: you're welcome. Actually the pickup I'll be sending you is exactly like the one I've put on my August '70 21 fret 4001.
Ken: you mean the smaller magnet on the earlier treble high-gains (~1969/1972)?

Yes. I believe it is a '72. It has a toaster, checkerboard binding, and full width fretboard inlays. He has since installed a V63 RI horseshoe pickup that he purchased before RIC made it unavailable.

I'm sure this '72 4001 is "singing" loud and clear now - those re-issue HS are fine pickups.

Can anybody help to re-magnetise my horse-shoe magnet?
My '60s almost lost magnetism...but I don't have good places to repair it.

I have a guy here in New York City that has recharged my HS mags for me - totally brought my '68 4001 bridge pickup back to life. Highly recommended if you don't mind shipping to the States. Email me for his info if you're interested.

Thanks for your quick replying!!
I never mind to send them to NY! It is cool...
My '64 magnet is needed to re-crome and re-magnetize. I'll send you e-mail and please ask your friend can do for me.
Thanks again!
