Dale surely knows his stuff. He did a beautiful job on the nitro black finish for me. Check out the reflections in the finish here. With a black neck now, it seems like a completely different guitar. The real thrill of having Dale work on it, was to visit him at his workshop throughout the process. Some pretty cool pieces pass through his hands and always come out the other side even better!

Come on Dale! You did a great job on that old '58 325, looks superb. I agree Ron, that blonde neck drove me crazy too but I didn't have the heart to tell ya. Looks right now! Enjoy that guitar.

No Brian, I'm sorry, I mean happy to say it's mine. I was fortunate enough to pick this up in the early to mid 90's thru a want ad I placed! I figured I'd be lucky to find a 60's/70's model at a significant price. Instead I was blessed to have this come along and to receive it at an unbelievably great(cheap) price!!

Nice shot Ron! I remember when I read your ad in the back of Vintage Guitar thinking, lots of luck! Then you called me a few weeks later and asked me what questions to ask the guy. You told me the serial number was V91 so I knew it was the real deal. I said you better call that guy right now and have it sent out next day air COD or Carl from Pittsburgh Guitars will get it. I remember that like it was yesterday....

Thanks everyone for the gracious comments. It was challenging rushing this deal together as I was in Lake Tahoe on vacation at the time. When it arrived UPS they delivered it to a neighbor who forgot to tell me she had it for several days. I was sweating bullits wondering if I had been scammed! Larry's help was integral in verifying that a dream come true was actually no hoax. Your sharing this dedicated love of Beatle instruments with me and others through the years has been a real joy.
