I wonder why that is.
I'd think that the 4002 would be the last bass anyone would alter, since it's really the only 4000 series that has unique electronics.
Edit: I should say "unreplaceable electronics" I suppose.
Here's a question: does anyone (other than JH) have TWO 4002's?

Has it been confirmed that the there was an original version of the HB's?
I find it pretty strange that every 4002 we have seen lately has a newer version of the HB's.

Ginger,
Just whip out the dremel and grind 'em down!
BTW, I saw a clip of you playing on Youtube. Very nice! You don't need no stinkin' speed bumps!

Man, if I hadn't bought the 4004LK this year, I'd be all over this 4002 like a rash. It's next on my wish list. The Jazz bass was the first bass I ever owned and recorded with. I always wanted a RIC with J bass pickup spacing.
So many many basses, so little cash. Maybe I should get a job.

Yeah, I want the 4002, but I don't want it THAT much

I'd trade my job for a 4002 any day!
Easy choice: my job sucks, while the 4002 does not.

Again, it's a tough time to sell an instrument for top $$$. The lack of original pick ups will obviously impact the price, but you tend to think that a bass this rare should be sold just a few months into the new year to realize it's full potential.

Isn't that Bryce that got it?

It's hard to remember everyone's user names! I remember his because I sold him something.
Ken did post that he's not sure if it's really for sale, & that he's just testing the waters.
