Nicolas,
Here you go---the SG, not live but in a video:

Look closely for something more of note---McCartney still is sporting his chipped tooth and slightly fat lip from his moped accident.

George also plays that SG in the Hey Bulldog vid.

It is also used in the Rain video, which is shot the same day as the one for Paperback Writer. Rain does not show the SG much, though.

Wow, I never knew about the moped incident, but I do remember wondering why his teeth looked different in that video.

It doesn't take long to get OT. Their was a picture of Paul a few years back with the cap missing from the very same tooth. Not a flattering shot. A 60 something man smiling woth a tooth missing.

Boy, George looks like he's about to open a vain in that video.

Didn't Paul also grow a mustache in late '66 because he split his lip in a moped accident?

I thought he fell off a horse? Oh well - I prefer this version, 'Live' style. Note opening still was used for the back cover of "Revolver"...

In the Beatles Lyrics Illustrated book, there is a picture of Paul's 4001s on stage, behind him, lying flat as a backup. You can clearly see it. I believe it is picture #44. All the pictures are numbered in the paperback addition. I think it's an outside concert. I remember seeing this when the book first came out and couldn't believe my eyes. When someone else finds it, try and post a picture. I can't find it right now. It's there! Hey Mr. Philly, ever see that one?

HE definitively had it on stage, but back then just like now, he thought the Beatles images was tied to the funny looking violin bass (his words not mine). Imagine if he would've played the Rick or Jazz during the rooftop concert. personally I think it would've looked out of place... but I'm so used to seeing that concert with the Hofner after all...

Ah yes, they'd like you to THINK it was a moped accident! But it was really the first appearance of....FAUL! Bwah-hah-hah....
