Paul, didn't you need the book to come out this year for the 50th anniversary of the bass?

That was the original plan. However, the working title is:
"Rickenbacker Basses - 50 Years As Rock's Bottom"
The publisher likes the idea of the 50-year draw, as they have done that with the Les Paul and the Strat. 2007 marks the 50th anniversary of the catalog appearance of the Rick 4000, but John Hall told me the original was "made in 1955." No matter, if the book comes out in 2008, it will still cover 50 years (at least).
