Not far out of that picture is a large puddle of ectoplasm on the floor with my clothes and shoes piled on top.

Bass? What bass? All I see are LEGS!!! That's a hot photo! I too am looking for a silver case for a '68 4001 and a toaster cover. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

I bought one here, Javier, a silver reissue for your 68 4001!

The seller, Albert, has a few of them at this price, and will be glad to sell you one

Wait a sec, will any new silver bass case fit a 4005? I seem to remember my 4001c64 had a little bit of room to roam in it's case.

Good point John. I have a silver vintage case that I don't use to gig with because of the 'room to roam' as you nicely put it.
How wide is a 4005? I'm not lucky enough to own one yet.

A 4005 is considerably wider than a 4000/1/2/3/4.

I believe the guy I got the 4001 silver case from told me he also has more of the 4005 silver cases for sale, definitely sized for a 4005, if anybody needs one. Heh, now I have to order another 4001 case from him myself for this latest 1968 4001 FG, it has a form-fitting guitar-like case like I have never seen before, and it has to go.
