I love Alice in Chains. "Dirt" and "Facelift" are fantastic albums but neither Mike Starr or his replacement Mike Inez played Rickenbackers, which is also the reason why AIC wasn't named in this thread.

My band plays AIC's "No Excuses", STP's "Interstate Love Song", and Soundgarden's "Fell on Black Days". Those are our "old" songs. Image We also do newer stuff like Foo Fighters, Audioslave and Shinedown.
Kind of different for a bunch of guys that grew up on Beatles and Stones, which we all still love.

Gail looks cool. Great onstage "attitude".

I grew up on Rush & Zep, but I love Soundgarden, the Pilots, & AIC. A great Canadian band that reminds me somewhat of Soundgarden is Big Wreck.
No Rick content that I know of.

I also love Beethoven, Chopin, & Rachmaninoff.
Variety is essential!

Soundgarden were BIG Rush fans. As were the guys in Rage Against the Machine; there is continuity there. Then, of course, Cornell from Soundgarden and Morello, Commerford, and Wilk from Rag got together and made Audioslave, who are also awesome.

That dude from Spacehog is a pretty lucky guy. He's able to play that crazy bassline & sing at the same time, plus he's married to Liv Tyler.

Playing a bassline like that and singing is not luck. It's skill. Image

Someone that homely being married to Liv Tyler - now that's luck!
