"He used to have a website with Yes, Rush, Gentle Giant, and more transcriptions."

Man, I wish I could find some Gentle Giant transcriptions. Or at least some good MIDI files that I can import into a tab program . . . the only stuff I've got that sounds any good is "Proclamation", "So Sincere", "Just the Same", and the first two minutes of "Experience" (I need the rest of that song!).

I've almost got a full bass tab of the album version of Yes' "Starship Trooper". If anyone uses PowerTab Editor, I can send it to you when I'm done. I am having quite a bit of trouble figuring out the guitar that goes along with it, though, as I do not own a guitar, nor do I play one. I've also got a full transcription of "Siberian Khatru", save drums . . . yes, that's keys, guitars, AND bass. I used Squire's onsite bassline, because it's 100% accurate.

heh... lionel's notated transcriptions relied heavily on some of the tab that is floating around out there. About 13 years ago I did notated transcriptions using finale of about two dozen of the more obscure rush songs with cool bass parts -- things from hold your fire and power windows mostly. I mentioned them on one of the newsgroups and some guy begged me to mail him copies. I did -- and he turned them into tabs and posted them all over the place!! I always thought it was funny that many of lionel's transcriptions were based on the tabs that were based on my transcriptions!

His stuff was very high quality, though!

I have a question about the song Heart of the Sunrise by Yes...does anyone know if that is Chris Squire playing arpeggioed chords on the bass at the "Sharp...Distance" part around 5:45-6 minutes in? It sounds like the bass but it could also be a guitar with a weird effect.
A little pain never hurt anyone.

The transcription had a doubled bass part at spots with one part having arpeggios...when I followed the chart while listening it didn't strike me as being played. But I only followed the chart once, and it was the first time I had listened to HOTS in years...
Above e-mail is inactive. try ed_ardzinski@**** where **** is Hotmail.com or Yahoo.com. I tend to see things inthe hotmail box quicker...

Yes, that is Chris playing those arpeggios.
