Hi Everybody!
Thanks for the welcome!
I put the money toward a 75th 4003! An acceptable trade-off.

The Blackstar is now my favorite Rick bass. I've begun "accumulating" different finishes with the black trim option. I've read some people don't like the black pick guard/trim, but they are my favorite!
I think I should buy another bass...

I am keeping a "registry" of known Shadows. So far, I have found 22 serial #'s over the past 2-3 years. I have owned 4 at one time, but as of right now, I have none. All of the serial #'s that I have start in Sept.'86 and run thru November '86 with one exception of a Dec.'06

There is also a "Shadow" floating around out there with triangle inlays. THAT is the one I want. It was sold on the 'bay about a year ago and I could'nt handle it at that time.....I neglected to get the serial # from the owner. Anybody have any info on that one?....a pic perhaps?

Did someone forward you JH's SN? He graciously let us take a peak during the factory tour.

In all of the mirth of the 75th weekend I forgot who was going to give you that info.

Moi! Image

Even in that room full of mind melting Ricks I had the presence of mind to ask John if I could get the S/N from his Shadow for Chris.

I remember that - that's when we were talking to John and he said that was the one he was going to play at the HOB the next night.
